I have a new favorite stylus.
The New Trent is so substantially smoother and a lot easier...
I have an iPad and have been hunting for a stylus to be in a position to use it like a writing tablet. I have tried the Adonit Jot Pro, Targus and Griffin Stylus, and now the New Trent stylus. They all have their really good and negative points but this is my knowledge with the New Trent product and how it compared to the other people.
Size: The stylus is brief. I am a fairly tall guy and I have lengthy, skinny fingers. Brief writing instruments are a challenge for me if they are not extended sufficient for the best of the instrument to sit in the space between my thumb and hand. This stylus isn't long sufficient and so I located myself possessing to modify the way I held it. I found that unnatural but not difficult to do.
Weight: This stylus, compared to the weighted Jot Pro, is particularly light. If you like holding on to your writing instrument and feeling some weight, this won't do it for you. But it turns out the weight is a plus for me considering the short size. I located that I was not fighting the weight to keep manage for the reason that the stylus was shorter than I like.
Not-a-Stylus: This stylus has a ball point pen built in. It's the very first stylus I have tried that had an added capability, and I have located myself essentially using the pen as much as the stylus side! The pen writes smoothly and evenly, and is very easy to expose and retract. It is a seriously good feature to have.
Stylus: Ok, so how about that capacitive mesh stylus? Searching at the photo I did not definitely have an expectation for the stylus finish, so when I got it I was a little surprised. At very first it reminded me of a Q-Tip that wasn't wound tight. It doesn't sag off the side or anything but it is "soft". The Targus stylus is a rubber tip and is challenging, giving virtually nothing when making use of it to write or draw. The Adonit jot Pro is a challenging metal ball. The New Trent stylus felt considerably less like a pen and extra like a paint brush, generating for exceptionally smooth transition to the surface when placing the stylus down to write. There was no tricky, abrupt transition.
Function: This is the biggie for me. How properly does it in reality function? And how does that compare to the other individuals I have made use of? New Trent wins, hands down. Shocked? I was too, but I have a very precise cause: it doesn't stick! My iPad is protected by a BodyGardz screen protector. The Adonit Jot Pro has a plastic disk on the end and it grabs the screen like crazy! I really like the weight but with the screen protector it just isn't exceptionally functional. Working with the Targus and Griffin styli they tend to hop or skip as they stick and then release from the display. Granted, this is only when I am attempting to write notes and I press too hard but that is how I use it. The New Trent stylus is a smooth movement. For me that is most necessary.
I would adjust two items about it: length and weight. Longer and heavier would give it an less difficult to grasp, a lot more solid really feel. Would I decide to buy it once more? Maybe. If they make the adjustments I advise, completely.
